One night desk for every home repair trade

Inland After Hours answers after-hours calls for 13 home repair and improvement trades in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene. Each shop gets its own emergency list, so the calls that can't wait reach the owner, and the rest are waiting in the inbox by morning.

Water and heat

Where a missed call turns into water on the floor or a cold house.

Plumbing

After a windstorm, Avista won't reconnect a house with a damaged service mast until an electrician repairs it. Those calls come at night, and the job goes to whoever answers.Source: Avista, January 2021 windstorm

Night calls: power out to the home, breakers that won't reset, storm-damaged masts.

Rings you liveWhole-home outages and damaged masts. Sparks or fire are told to call 911 first.

Roofing

Night calls: active leaks, storm and tree damage, ice dams.

Rings you liveA roof open to rain or snow, or a tree through the roof.

Tree and landscaping

After a windstorm, the tree on the roof is worth far more than the one in the yard, and both owners call the same night. The November 2015 windstorm left about 180,000 Avista customers without power.Source: HistoryLink

Night calls: trees on houses, cars and driveways.

Rings you liveA tree on the house. Anything touching a wire is told to stay away and call Avista or 911.

Doors and locks

Someone is stuck, locked out, or can't secure the house.

Garage doors

The spring snaps on the coldest morning of the year, the car is inside, and the owner has to be at work by 7.

Night calls: broken springs, doors stuck open, doors off their track.

Rings you liveA car trapped inside, or a door stuck open overnight.
